Requirements to receive an interview to join our team:

  • 18 years of age and older.

  • Verification of High school degree.  Bachelor's degree preferred for most positions, Master's degree required for some positions.  

  • Provide copies of full Employment Application and Resume (emailed upon receipt of pre-employment application)

  • Provide names for reference checks

Requirements to secure offered employment:

  • A Completed Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification

  • Copies of identification documents that satisfy the I-9 requirements. (see Form I-9 info. above)

  • W-4 Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate

  • If the position requires driving as an essential function, then you are required to present:

  • 3 Pennsylvania Background Clearances must be completed. Please see the state of PA government website for additional information.
    • PA Child Welfare Portal - $8.00 non-refundable online fee, regardless of outcome,  payable by credit/debit card. Pay and receive this clearance online.
    • Criminal Clearance Pennsylvania State Police - $8.00 non-refundable online fee, regardless of outcome, payable by credit/debit card. Pay and receive this clearance online.
    • FBI Fingerprinted Record Check in accordance with Public Law and the Child Protective Services Law. IMPORTANT: You are required to complete the  PA Department of Human Services  application for Office of Medical Assistance -  OMAP,  the fee for service provider enrollment . (No other entities will be accepted.) The fee is $23.00 and payable by credit/debit card. Website will offer fingerprint location options closest to you.  Many offerings in each county. Some require appointments.

Employment Training Opportunities

Spectra will provide the following, as relevant to the position:

  1. CPR training if not certified already

  2. Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training

  3. SPeCTRUM Training

  4. HIPAA Compliance

  5. Direct Support Staff Training (OID)

  6. ISP based Training (An agreement to carry out the participant’s ISP; Individual Support Plan responsibilities)

  7. Support Service Worker Agreement by (ODP) Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Program
